Hey guys! If you missed the banquet, here’s a couple important updates for you.
We are adding a prime division for year end points! This is from ages 19-49 and is NOT for a worlds qualification because it is not yet an NBHA recognized class (hopefully someday!). Because this is new to us and our venues, it may have to be ran as a side pot at some shows.
The PeeWee rule… NBHA PeeWees this year are on a membership basis to keep track of show counts and awards. A $10 membership is payable to me before their first show. A peewee is an experienced based class in MI02, so if your peewee runs a time at a show that is 2.5 seconds off of the winning YOUTH time (making them eligible for youth 5D points), they will automatically be rolled to youth and you’ll be expected to pay the difference. Additionally if this happens, you must purchase a full NBHA membership within 24 hours for your youth points to count for awards and state finals.
Parents, you know your child’s ability. Please put them in the appropriate class.
Three shows are required for peewee awards and state finals qualifications.
The state finals rule is NOT yet official but it’s looking like it will align with this also.
Section F of the rulebook talks about membership behavior. Read this if you think you need to…but really just remember to be kind. This rule covers social media bullying. As per the NBHA national office, “membership is a privilege, not a right and damaging behavior may result in a membership ban” Please be kind.
We are putting on a benefit show at Iosco County Fair! This show is to raise funds for year end awards. We will need volunteers, barrel setters, office help, clean up crew. Please keep this on your radar!
