From Brad Marshall, State Director:
Now that I have a moment I would like to thank everyone for coming to the State show. It’s a lot of work but it helps to have great help. Larry Teubert went above and beyond on the tractor. Randy Rieder thanks for doing more than your share of driving. Jimmy Sipkema, John Oversmith, Rass Pederson thank you guys for helping so much. Dave Williams and Karey Sanders thank you for showing up Wednesday and helping set up. To all the barrel setters that stepped up, you guys did great. I have to give Jay Hagenbuch a special thanks for the countless hours you set a barrel. I will forever be grateful. I know Pattie Marshall and myself are blessed to have the circle of friends that we have and the support from the members doesn’t go unnoticed. We appreciate each and every one of you. I know this doesn’t cover the office help that I know nothing about. A guy has to know his place. And a special thanks to Todd Adair for doing what he does best. GREAT STATE FINALS. I Sure hope everyone enjoyed it. Megan and Shanna we sure hope IBRA is as happy as we are. We will see you next week.

February 6, 2025

NBHA members, I am sure a lot of you have heard the NEWS for 2025. I'm truly very sorry for not being the first one to give you this information. That being said, I do think it is very exciting.

All of you know we have limited venues to accommodate our shows. Michigan weather can be so uncooperative. We are very fortunate to have the Midland facility back October 3-5th 2025, and we had a wonderful State Finals thanks to Haylee. The only problem we faced was the kids missing school. Brad approached Scott from MSU and they have August 8-10th available. Brad and I met with Megan from IBRA as this has been the weekend of Michigan IBRA State Finals for years. After discussion we decided to combine forces and merge our shows to have 2 State Finals and one big BLOWOUT!!

The NBHA long go will be ran first with the option to roll to the IBRA Open. No one will be forced to enter a class or become a member of an association they don't wish to. A membership in good standing and 3 show rule will still apply for anyone entering NBHA classes.
I know many will have the concern of costs but this will be a savings as it will be 1 camping and stall fee and you will be able to run for a great deal more money without having to pick 1 association over the other.

So 2025 State Finals will be August at MSU and we will continue our partnership with Midland in October as an All District Fall Bash before the NBHA Open World show.

Change is hard and I'm sure I'll make more mistakes but I think with all the different barrel organizations out there we have to learn to work together and try to have the best interests of all the Michigan barrel racers in mind. I really think with all of your help we can make this A SHOW LIKE NO OTHER, A BLOW OUT OF THE CENTURY!!!

PLUS.......we just confirmed that Todd Adair will be coming back and doing the announcing!!!!
